I can make a difference by...
Sometimes when one is in a bad mood, they would just go and talk to someone about it. That helps, but I just listen to music. Whatever mood I was in before is totally gone. I feel better, and I feel like starting to play my own music. Playing my own music helps me, because I just have so much freedom. I can do what I want to with my music. It is really quite amazing.
Music is amazing. There is power in it, and I want the world to know it.

CVHS issues
I have some problems with the fall SEOP meetings. I just don’t feel like these meetings are really necessary in the fall. The schedule may be needed to facilitate the bus schedule that the county has set up for SEOP week, but the meetings are not needed.
One reason for this, I believe, is that they really don’t give you any information that is helpful to the students, because most of us already know what our grades look like. Beyond the advisors giving you grades, there is nothing else useful in these meetings. Most good students check their grades regularly, and know what they need to do in order to graduate. All the meetings will accomplish is waste our time, because that is all that is discussed.
The meetings in the spring I can understand, because that is when we put together our schedules for the next school year. These meetings are important, and worthy of our time. Students need to be able to put schedules together, and this is a great time to do it. Fall meetings don’t give us anything that is really useful. There may be some students out there that don’t check their grades or know what their progress towards graduation is, so the meetings could be helpful to some.
Maybe these meetings could be required for those that are falling behind in classes. But the students that care enough to just get their work done when it’s supposed to be done should not have to go. My parents had to leave from work to come, and when it was over, they felt that their time was wasted, because they already check my progress on the internet regularly.
There needs to be a solution to this problem next year. Just do things the way they were last year, when we didn’t have meetings in the fall. That would work the best not only for me, but for other students as well.
